I am a Clinical Psychologist and partner of the Bridges Therapy and Wellness Center located in Fairfax, Virginia.

My specialty is working with school-aged children and adolescents with learning, emotional and behavioral difficulties, and family conflict, and with adults with presenting concerns related to anxiety, depression, relationship issues, life transitions, and stress management.

I offer individual and play therapy, group therapy and family therapy, parent support and guidance, and school consultation.

BIO

Dr. Mullaley completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, with an Emphasis in Child and Family Psychology, at The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C.  She began working in the mental health field in 1991 in a residential treatment center for children, providing group and milieu-based interventions with a strong behavioral component.  She has worked in psychiatric and partial day hospitals, medical facilities, and at a therapeutic school for students with learning, emotional and behavioral difficulties for seven years before moving into private practice with in the Fairfax area in 2006.  Dr. Mullaley has also been responsible for hiring and supervising psychology graduate students in their clinical training year, including development of seminars, supervision of therapy and assessment, and professional development. Dr. Mullaley is licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Clinical Psychologist.

Services

Dr. Mullaley’s specialty is working with school-aged children and adolescents with learning, emotional and behavioral difficulties, and family conflict, and with adults with presenting concerns related to anxiety, depression, relationship issues, life transitions, and stress management.  She offers individual and play therapy, group therapy and family therapy, parent support and guidance, and school consultation.  In addition, her practice also focuses on psychological assessment with children and adults to determine the nature of learning, attention, emotional and behavioral concerns, and provide appropriate recommendations to address areas of deficit.

Dr. Mullaley has also worked in consultation with schools in working to remediate and accommodate behavioral and learning needs, and participated in school meetings and Individual Educational Planning (IEPs).  She is also interested in developing life skills courses to aid individuals in learning effective stress management, parenting, goal-setting and self-esteem enhancement.
